Elizabeth Madden Auditorium

  • $100 for four hours* and $200 for 8 hours
  • Government and Not-for-Profit Organization Rates: $50 for four hours* and $100 for 8 hours

*Room rentals are in four hour increments only (a minimum of four hours).

Hours

With the exception of the Library Board room, meeting rooms are available during regular library hours from the time the library is open until 30 minutes prior to the library closing time. The Library Board room is available Monday through Friday from the time the library opens through 4:30 p.m.

Equipment

Our meeting room sound and projector systems are not MAC compatible unless you provide a Mini DisplayPort to VGA Video Adapter. If your IBM compatible computer does not have a VGA connector then you will need to provide an HDMI to VGA adapter.

Room Policies

Meeting rooms are available for public use, subject to the library’s policy for use of meeting rooms.

If food or beverages are served, the organization using the room is responsible for cleanup. A $25 cleaning fee will be assessed if the room is not left clean.

To reserve a meeting room, call (217) 421-9172, or fill out a meeting room application and fax to (217) 233-4071. If you are a government or non-profit organization click here for a meeting room application and fax to (217) 233-4071. You can also use our online application.

Rooms are not reserved until you receive a confirmation from the library.
