- Canoe a nationally-designated Wild & Scenic River?
- See the state's oldest living inhabitant (at over 1,000 years)?
- Get wet and muddy exploring underground wonders?
- Hike to canyons, bluffs, and waterfalls?
- Swim in a lake surrounded by wooded hills?
Join us as Decatur Public Library's own John Schirle, author of the book Best Tent Camping: Illinois, takes us on a visual tour of the Prairie State, visiting parks, lakes, rivers, and forests where you and your family can experience the beauty that is outdoor Illinois. He'll talk about where to go, what to bring, and how to explore prepared and safely.
