Meet Mark
Mark is in the last year of his fourth term as a trustee and was recently named an “Illinois Library Luminary” by the Illinois Library Association. Now retired, he was formerly a Decatur public school teacher before serving as assistant director of the Illinois State Archives. He is a charter member of the Academy of Certified Archivists; past president of the Illinois State Historical Society; and has had numerous articles published in Illinois Libraries and Illinois Heritage magazines. He is the Official Macon County Historian and currently does volunteer research for the A.E. Staley Museum in Decatur.
