Children's Winter Reading Challenge
January 2 - March 31, 2025

A record 573 kids enrolled in our 2025 Children's Winter Reading Challenge, and together they have so far logged over 21,000 days of reading or listening to books! When reading becomes a daily habit, everyone benefits!

Some important information:

• The last day to LOG reading in Beanstack is Monday, March 31. That is the last day that COUNTS in earning rewards.
• You can still bring your reading logs to the Children's desk AFTER March 31, and we can log your child's reading retroactively, up to March 31.
• The LAST DAY to pick up reading rewards is Saturday, April 26, while supplies last. (For some rewards, when we run out, we're out!)

So hurry in to pick up your reading rewards at the Children's Desk!

How do I earn rewards?

Just log every day that your child reads or listens to books! How much? Whatever is a good amount of reading/listening for your child!

You can log via Beanstack, or the printed reading log, or both. For every 15 days of reading, kids earn fun stuff! Stop by the Children's Desk to check in and pick up rewards:

• 15 days -- Scratch 'n' Sniff bookmark & Papa Murphy's Mini Murph pizza coupon
• 30 days -- Choice of a free book & Giggles cookie coupon (thanks to sponsors Golden K Kiwanis)
  
• 45 days -- Choose from our Winter Reading Challenge prize box
• 60 days -- Children's Museum of Illinois Family Pass (good for one visit, 1 per family -- while supplies last) & coupon for Texas Roadhouse Kids meal (w/ purchase of an adult meal)
