DPL Kids @ Home
Summer Reading is here! Register online, and get started! June 1 - August 15.
We're excited to be open again regular hours (M-F), but this year you can also participate in our Summer Reading Program from anywhere via computer, tablet or smartphone app! Head to our Children's Summer Reading Challenge page for all the details!
If you've started the Children's Summer Reading Challenge, be sure to log your reading goals. These are activities in Beanstack. Set your first reading goal, log completion, set your second, and so on. Each goal completion earns rewards, which you can pick up at the Children's Desk in the library. (If you've not been logging goals, you can even log completion back to June 1.) If you need help figuring it out, or would like us to log them for you, call, message, or stop by the Children's Desk.
If you've completed Goal 3, be sure to put your ticket in the T-shirt drawing! We have 70 children's Summer Reading T-shirts to give away, and everyone who completes Goal 3 can enter the drawing. Select your size of T-shirt and put the ticket in the drawing.
Would your child like to be featured on the website as a DPL Reader of the Week? Check out the page, and see how you can submit a photo and the titles of 5-10 of their favorite library books.
And be sure to follow our Seven O'Clock Story Times on Facebook! Every evening, M - F at 7 p.m. our library staff will post a video of a story book read aloud. You don't need a Facebook account to view our page and its content, and you can link to all the previous ones here!
If your family homeschools, or is considering homeschooling this fall, please fill out this short survey to help us better serve you. Thanks!
Questions? Email the library at email@example.com, message us via Facebook Messenger, or call M - F 217-424-2900 during regular business hours. (If we don't have someone there to answer, press 8 to leave a message, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.)
