Preschool Art Workshop: Scratch Art Holiday Cards

Join us for these guided art workshops for preschoolers (ages 3-5), presented by staff from the Decatur Area Arts Council. Each is inspired by a particular book artist or style of art, and each will focus on learning special techniques for creating your own art that you can take home from the program. Each is scheduled for 45 minutes, with 15 minutes extra for those who want a bit more time to work on their creations.

Using oil pastel and tempera paint, we will learn how to make our own scratch art paper. Then we will make shapes and patterns to create a set of holiday cards.

Plan to wear "paint clothes" -- clothes you don't mind getting a little messy. All programs will be in upstairs in the Children's Auditorium.
