Preschool Art Workshop: Owl Babies Mixed Media

Join us for these guided art workshops for preschoolers (ages 3-5), presented by staff from the Decatur Area Arts Council. Each is inspired by a particular book artist or style of art, and each will focus on learning special techniques for creating your own art that you can take home from the program. Each is scheduled for 45 minutes, with 15 minutes extra for those who want a bit more time to work on their creations.

We will read Martin Waddell's book Owl Babies. We will explore texture with forks and white tempera, and then add some crayon and collage to make our own owlets.

Plan to wear "paint clothes" -- clothes you don't mind getting a little messy. All programs will be in upstairs in the Children's Auditorium.
