Kids K through 8th grade, join us with your families to learn about pets and pet care! Kim Schwalbach from the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation and her border collie Lady Mary will teach us about taking care of your dog and other domestic pets. You'll learn about the importance of ID tags, leash and collar, and how to be kind and compassionate with all our animals friends.
And of course kids will get to meet Lady Mary, the star of the show! Each family will also receive a free copy of the book The Stray Dog by Marc Simont.
Space is limited. Advance registration is required. Register just one child for the whole family.
The program will be led by Humane Educator Kim Schwalbach from the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation.
