City of Decatur Public Transit

The Decatur Public Transit System (DPTS) operates 15 bus routes and a downtown trolley route on a pulse system with buses departing the downtown Transit Center at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour.

Operation Uplift

Paratransit service is curb-to-curb shared-ride service for individuals who cannot independently use the Decatur Public Transit System, and is limited to trips within ¾ of a mile from fixed-routes. Trips must be scheduled in advanced, and are available during the same days and hours of operation as the fixed-route bus system. For ride scheduling information, call (217) 424-2800.

The Decatur Public Transit System (DPTS) has launched Decatur Moves, a modern microtransit service designed to make getting around the region easier, more affordable, and more accessible for everyone. This service utilizes ADA-accessible vans and other vehicles to provide curb-to-curb shared rides.
