Thrive edition January 2015

READiculous brings the library to your school and makes books come alive. We’ll storyact a READiculous amount of books, showing kids how READiculously fun reading books aloud and together can be! READiculous encourages kids to grab their grownup and visit the library, as well as get a library card of their own. We present a 45 minute program geared toward K through 6th graders. And here is something else that is READiculous! Our program is absolutely FREE to Decatur schools! Schedule a READiculous visit by calling 424-2900 ext. 5 or emailing Not a Decatur school, library or group? You can contact us at for availability!

We have been to ALL of the schools in the city of Decatur and several beyond Macon County! Not to mention we put on a few shows at Decatur Public Library for our Board, Millikin and more importantly for our patrons! We are booking for the 2018/2019 school year.  You might not know that we can also perform for preschool children. We have shortened our show to anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes using preschool favorites!

Our eighth show was launched in June, 2018! Book now, before our schedule gets full! Can you imagine? We have seven, entirely different shows! Our first show is characterized by the leading picture book, Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude by Kevin O’Malley. Our second show’s headliner is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.  The third show includes an introduction to the chapter book series How To Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. Our fourth show, begins with Nelly May Has Her Say. Our fifth show headlined Let’s Do Nothing by Tony Fucile. Our sixth show caused dissension. Ms. Susan loves I Yam a Donkey by Cece Bell, while Ms. Alissa loves Cooking with Henry and Elliebelly by Carolyn Parkhurst. And our seventh show introduced Boris and Morris and the characters of Duck and Bear, all of which you can see in new stories this school year! So if you have booked us once, twice, or even thrice, you haven’t seen everything yet! Here is a bibliography for each of our shows. And here is a link to all of the books we have ever performed so that you can check them out and be READiculous too!
